McKinsey And Company Corrupting

How we move through society is influenced by people, ideas, and inertia.

THE bad guy is nott McKinsey and Company Consulting, or it is just one of many bad guys, and they are mostly guys, too often (White) males. McKinsey is merely a cog on the old wooden ship of capitalism susceptible to corruption. Of course, how this ship of inertia formed is, and was, as unavoidable as it was, and is, being overlooked and considered inevitable in its overall form. Additionally, socially-formed institutions created on the inertia ship are too easily accepted, or acknowledged as inevitable. The good parts — according to its beneficiaries — that inertia pushes along overwhelm, and conceal the underlying, parallel problematic structure it produces, and forever reproduces, unless a repositioning mechanism is introduced.

One of the biggest inertia vessels is society’s interactions with its systems of remuneration to individuals, and the community. Socialism and capitalism, that control remuneration, are the main systems debated and practiced in some form. This essay is not necessarily about which one is better than the other. The objective in this piece revolves around the belief that every system is like a ship that must be dry docked to remove barnacles, and repair all rot below the waterline.
