When I was Republican white boy woke, I almost noticed something missing from before. I was seeing our color-blind caste system with new eyes. There, right in front of me, was the strangest and most unknowable sight. The outlines of something called racism, which no liberal can see in a conservative’s heart or mind, so we cannot be considered racist.
