The Private Property Paradox is a Major Key to Our Social Problems.

The fetishization of our Constitution overall, and private property are only superseded by 2nd Amendment and states’ rights zealots. Though the U.S. Constitution is a vital part of our governing structure, it cannot be the end all of everything. Our White ancestors used both private property, and our Constitution to subjugate people merely due to the color of their skin. Whether the 2nd Amendment or states’ rights have been correct, or not, in all the iterations their supporters employ, their fetishizing is assuredly overdone. Absolutism is where such fetishizing leads its infected supporters.

Venerating a concept so staunchly eviscerates nuance, and other viewpoints. When nuance and skepticism are disallowed, violence must enter to protect the absolutist’s stance.

The two word term “private property” is in the U.S. Constitution only one time in the 5th Amendment. The term property is found only three other times, again in the 5th, then in the 4th, and 14th. None of these Amendments and articles are specifically designated as about “private property”. The 5th Amendment is about criminal recourse. The 4th Amendment, section four, is in regards to admitting states to the union. The 14th is obviously not in the original…
