White male privilege is a horrible scourge. Unfortunately, there is little we can do about it with the current political system. First its backers are still dominated by us/white dudes "like" me. The president continues to be a white guy, after an eight year hiatus. Congress not as much, but senate still mostly white guys.

The senate/electoral college problem makes white senators a scourge a generation or two after the nation is over 50 POC in 2040. Can't say that conservative hispanics/latinos won't help the Republican party keep their gridlock power, at least, longer than people are thinking with the demographic trend.

We must raise all these civil/other rights issues permanently higher in one mighty fell swoop. Don't think politics, but a civic/citizens and workers system that is focused on solutions not electing people. I call it a We The People system. It would be a force that makes politicians act. Both political parties "hide the ball", GOP worse of course, and we must wait on them until they "feel it is the right time" to push it over the goal line or even try to.

The system combines things to make it a major draw for at least 60% of the public, not necessarily voters. Been writing about it on Medium, in most of my essays. RTC
